Acupuncture and Qi

As an acupuncturist and herbalist, Dr. Brancato will determine where in your body the flow of Qi (energy) has been disturbed and exactly how that disturbance has created your symptoms. The initial consultation is a thorough evaluation of both your immediate complaint and your overall condition and constitution. Treatment using acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of a number of disposable, hair thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body in order to influence and redirect your Qi in a positive way.

Acupuncture and Magnet Therapy

You may feel an energetic sensation of warmth or pressure around the needle and possibly further away, along the pathway of the meridian; in fact, most people comment that the experience is usually pleasant and deeply relaxing. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Brancato offers magnet therapy, which utilizes the same type of meridian treatment without the use of needles.
